Farmer Larsons' Crop
Here is 2008's entire yield from the backyard--grapefruits, tangerines, and little green things that froze while we were in Utah for Christmas or were ripped from the plants by enthusiastic children. We are quite proud of ourselves and hope for bigger and better things next year.
The type of parents we are
It's afternoon, and where are the children? Yes, they are in pajamas on the recliners eating ice cream and yes, they are watching a movie. :)
Courage
How many people are brave enough to change the baby's diaper on their laps I ask you? We're quite impressed, especially after Aria's bid to get away.

Hard Times
Given a pile of blocks, Leslie builds a lovely stable with Mary and Joseph. Travis creates the dark tower of the evil Sauron. There's a reason these two give each other a hard time!
Cousins set a good example
When I came downstairs to put Leslie to bed New Years Eve, I found Hannah had rounded up Leslie and Ashley and was reading to them from the New Testament. Hannah, we're proud to know you!
Sledding
Graham helped us reverse-shovel snow back onto the field so we could sled down the hill in Bill & Robin's backyard.
Some of Our Favorites
My seminary teacher told us we shouldn't have favorites among the leaders of the church, but I did anyway. Conference will not be the same without challenges to duels, and sudden surprised laughter. And we miss having such a wonderful Democrat to look up to. It's hard to to have our two favorites leave in one year, but we are grateful for the new strong leaders who will move the church forward.
