Happy Pioneer Day!

This is Leslie wearing her pioneer dress. I told her to smile for the camera, and she said, no, in pioneer pictures they always frown. So we got one of each pose.

Our own private carousel

Going to the zoo in summer sure has its advantages--we were able to park close to the entrance, get right up close to see the animals, and were the only people on the carousel! We felt like zoo royalty.

First snow cones

Granna gave the kids their first ever snow cones.

Treehouse

Weird Science!!!

We went to the Arizona Science Center with Robin. We were amazed at the number of hands-on exhibits for kids, especially in the "Grossology Department," which had walk (and slide) through anatomy displays. We think the children learned quite a lot about science, although Leslie learned a little too much about natural disasters and had trouble sleeping for a week after, as she had nightmares about earthquakes and hurricanes.
Sabrina loved being captain of this submarine.

Blood and bugs

Sabrina and Leslie enjoyed pumping the lever to watch the giant tick and mosquito fill with blood.

Skin

Leslie uses warts, moles, and abscessed hair follicles to make it over the skin climbing wall.
